Our Christmas campaign for Petri & Eichen, Diakonische Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Bremen

“Christmas is about looking after your fellow human beings in the spirit of charity.” This basic idea inspired a group of Lamotte employees to think about how Christmas should be organized in our company in the “Corona Year 2020”.

In addition to a “Christmas party in a box” for every colleague, this also gave rise to the idea that employees could fulfill children’s Christmas wishes, which were sent to us by the Petri & Eichen facility, Diakonische Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Bremen gGmbH. From the end of November 2020, 120 wish cards were displayed in our office corridors. After just two weeks, every card had found a “wish sponsor”. Everyone went to the (virtual) store to make an unknown young person happy with a pair of sweatpants or a very specific game.

On December 22, Hermann Bosse, Managing Director of Henry Lamotte Oils, together with several colleagues, presented 120 gifts and a company donation to Petri & Eichen.

The traditional institution Petri & Eichen, Diakonische Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Bremen offers help for children, young people and their families in Bremen and the surrounding area. The services include 25 residential groups and 7 day groups, 12 outpatient teams, 15 open youth work services and 6 day care centers. The aim of the work is to promote the confidence of children and young people to overcome challenges on their own. The donations are used to develop additional offers for the children and young people.
